Those fiendishly minded modders are at it again, with a Fallout: New Vegas multiplayer mod on the horizon and about to enter public testing. It’s held together by ductape, dreams and some great hacks, but it does just about work, letting you wander the southern wasteland on multiplayer servers and share quests with chums. It’s not the Fallout 4 multiplayer mod we’ve dreamed of – and Bethesda likely tried their hardest to implement – but it is a step on the road in terms of seeing what works.
Fallout is a server dedicated to the world of fallout, this server allows you the users to roleplay as oc's in the wastelands, either joining a canon faction or creating your own, or even traveling as a loner searching for your propose in the world. What we offer: - a growing staff team that is very knowledgeable of the fallout. Fallout 4 New Vegas is aiming to rebuild the entire New Vegas experience in Fallout 4's Creation Engine. You'll once again be able to explore the Mojave, visit the town of Goodsprings, take part in the second Battle of Hoover Dam & experience content which was cut from the original.
There's now a multiplayer mod available for Fallout New Vegas, for those who might be interested. It's in beta right now, and it's fairly unstable. It can be fun, but don't expect to keep any progress. You lose your things when you die, and you lose items seemingly at random from time to time. For those of you who expect a Fallout like experience, you'll be disappointed.
Hoping for something a little more modern? Here’s the best Fallout 4 mods we could find.
Contrary to what you may be thinking, this isn’t designed to work with sets of dedicated servers or on LANs. It’s going to be a series of MMO-style realm servers that players connect to and then can wander as they like, meeting others in the vast wastes. To begin with this will be just one, situated Europe, that invites will be given to via the sign-up form on the official site.
Project contributor Jak, posting on the official forums, explained the reasoning behind a realm method, “We like the idea of realms / large servers because of the map size in Fallout: New Vegas. We aren’t looking to exploit money out of this at all, although if we find we’re having issues with overpopulation we’ll look expanding server counts.” That last is in reference to the possibility of private-server microtransactions – something they never intend to do, and they won’t be charging for the mod.
So, how hacky are we talking? Well, here’s their first official test footage:
Hey – a lot better than I could do, and much more than Gamebryo was ever designed to accomplish. On Reddit, Jak said that the main program is91,041 lines of C++ to push past the engine’s boundries and into the realm of multiplayer. There have been some sacrifices, like the total removal of VATS, and having to make it so opening your inventory roots you in place but makes you invulnerable, probably meaning no PvP for the forseeable future.
However, it does let you play New Vegas with other people. Quests even work, syncing progress and decisions in different areas to single players to keep a narrative working. It’s going to be very easy to troll people if you want, but GMs will be in place to ban those being nasty, and the project will scale up as it gets more demand.
The first test will be in two weeks, so get your name down for it if you’re interested. There’s a quick FAQ thread on the official forums that goes into some more details, including what to do if you’d like to help out in a more direct way.
Thanks, EG.

Troubleshooting Tips
Alrighty. A bunch of friends have had some issues with the game’s mod. I’ve taken the liberty to add some tips on how to fix the mod and methods I’ve found to work. Please note that most of the time, using the repair button mostly fixes in-game issues. However, if you are like my buddies, they have had a fair share of troubles trying to launch the game.
So let’s begin!
- If you are having a missing .dll file. Reinstall or install Microsoft’s .netframework on their website
- If you are having a font issue, or a png is missing. Open New Vegas up without the mod, and enable it to run in a window.
- If you can not see chat, make sure the mod isn’t in compatibility mode in FNV.exe’s options.
This is all the info I have on the current errors I’ve seen. Feel free to ask more questions on the forums and on here!
Wrapping things up
The hunters brotherband pdf. You can read the FAQ here! and learn about what’s included in the mod and the current state. If you have any problems please redirect them to the forum as the devs probably won’t pay much attention to this post.
I’ll be adding keybinds and features to this guide a bit later on, as well as the some basic FAQ stuff. Also, I would love to see this come to light and maybe get a financial following so the Dev’s can work on this or get more updates done frequently, so consider becoming a Patron on Patreon if you can. We all can tip in and make this a dream come true like we all thought of back when the game first came out. Good luck out there guys, I’ll see you in the wastes!
